青森市の三内丸山遺跡で、「縄文冬祭り」が開かれ、雪が降り積もる中、そり遊びなどを楽しむ家族連れでにぎわっています。この催しは、青森県教育委員会などが、一面、雪で覆われる冬の時期も青森市の三内丸山遺跡を訪れてもらおうと毎年この時期に開いています。
遺跡の敷地には、ボランティアの人たちが斜面の雪を利用して作った大型の滑り台など設けられ、雪が降り積もる中、午前中から大勢の家族連れでにぎわっています。訪れた子どもたちは大人と一緒にそりに乗って全長およそ５０メートルのコースを勢いよく滑って楽しんでいました。
滑り台を体験した人たちは、「とても気持ちがよくて楽しかったです」とか「冬場に遊ぶことができる場所がほかにもあればよいと思います」などと話していました。また、敷地内の建物の中では木をこすり合わせて火起こしを体験できるほか、紙のテープを使って手作りのコマを作る体験コーナーも設けられています。子どもたちは、接着剤などを使って紙のテープを土台に巻き付けながら直径５センチのコマづくりに挑戦していました。「縄文冬祭り」は、１６日まで青森市の三内丸山遺跡で開かれています。
