まだまだ真冬の寒さですが、春を迎えるための準備が着々と進んでいます。春には美しい桜で彩られる弘前公園では、桜のせん定が始まりました。桜のせん定は、毎年この時期に行われていて、２０日は午前９時から、弘前公園の下乗橋付近で始まりました。弘前市公園緑地課の職員３０人が、のこぎりやチェーンソーで、いらない枝を切り落としていました。桜のせん定は３月まで弘前公園にあるおよそ２６００本の桜すべてで行われます。
