8月2日に開幕する青森ねぶた祭の団体観覧席（10人以上）の販売数が、7月3日時点で前年並みの4万1756人だったことが分かった。有料観覧席は本年度から400円値上げし、団体・個人とも一律3千円となったが、青森ねぶた祭実行委員会（奈良秀則実行委員長）は、値上げの影響は出ていない－と説明。平日中心の日程だった昨年と異なり、今年は、会期の後半に土日が含まれていることが一因とみられる。
