歌手五木ひろし（６５）が６日、東京・日本武道館でデビュー５０周年記念コンサートを行った。
歌手活動の転機となった曲「よこはま・たそがれ」や５０周年記念曲「桜貝」など５４曲を約８０００人の前で披露。終盤には、長女で大学生の華菜子さん（１９）から祝福の花束を受け取り男泣き。「この子が生まれた時に、成人になるまで僕は頑張ると誓った。１０月で２０歳になります」と感無量の表情。
都はるみ（６６）やコロッケ（５３）、米サックス奏者ケニー・Ｇ（５７）もゲスト出演した。
