観光客が雪にはまったり滑ったりしないようにと無料で長靴を貸し出します。靴の卸売業者が６０足の長靴を青森市に寄贈しました。２９日から無料で貸し出しを行っているのは、青森駅前、新青森駅、浅虫温泉駅、浪岡駅の４つの観光案内所です。それぞれの施設に子ども用を含めて８足程度置かれています。希望者は、申請書に名前や電話番号などを記入し、自分の靴を預けて長靴を借りることができます。寄贈したのは、青森市で創業６５年の靴の卸売業者、和田ゴム販売です。冬場に観光客が滑って危険だという市民の投稿を新聞で見たのがきっかけで、青森市に６０足を寄贈しました。観光客への長靴の貸し出しは、市内の雪が解けるまで行われます。
