横浜税関によると、横浜港からのリンゴの輸出が２０１３年、量、金額ともに全国１位となった。量は２５年ぶり、金額は１９年ぶりにトップの座を奪還した。前年の１２年は、不作による価格の高騰や東日本大震災による風評被害などの逆風を受け、輸出は全国で大幅に減少。その反動もあり、１３年は大きく伸びた。全国の輸出量は１万９４３１トンで前年に比べて２・１倍、輸出金額も７１億６千万円で前年比２・２倍に膨らんだ。横浜港も全国と同様、量は前年の２・３倍の６９７９トン、金額は２・４倍の２５億５５００万円と伸び、ともに過去最高を記録。全国１位となった。横浜港からは１３年、８カ国・地域に輸出。特に台湾が全体の９割以上を占めた。税関は今後の見通しについて「国産リンゴは『おいしい』『見た目が良い』などのイメージが定着し、日本の食文化が海外で広がりをみせている。
