青森ねぶた祭をテーマにしたシンポジウムが青森市で開かれ、地元の大学生が祭りの運営に携わってきた町会長たちに行ったインタビュー調査の結果を報告しました。
このシンポジウムは、ねぶた祭の今後のあり方を考えようと青森大学社会学部の研究室が開いたもので、学生やねぶた師などが参加しました。
この中で、地域社会学を専攻する学生が、長年にわたってねぶた祭りの運営に携わってきた市内の町会長など１０人を対象に去年秋から暮れにかけて行ったインタビュー調査の分析結果を報告しました。
報告では、「祭りが自然発生的ではなくなり囃子手が整列して歩くといった見せ物としての要素が強まっていて寂しい」といった祭りの観光資源化を懸念する声を紹介し、地元の人に愛されながら継承されるあり方を検討すべきだと指摘していました。
これに対し会場からは、観光資源化が進む中でも、若い囃子手を育てる方法を探るなど、地域で祭りを盛り上げていくことが大切だ、といった意見が出ていました。
シンポジウムを企画した青森大学の佐々木てる准教授は「観光客が多いことは悪いことではないが、祭りが見せ物になって地元から離れていかないようにどうしたらよいか考えていきたい」と話していました。
八甲田ロープウェー山麓駅からおよそ５分、標高千メートルを超える辺りから、樹氷がその姿を見せ始めます。標高１３２４メートル、田茂萢岳頂上付近にある山頂公園駅では、無数の樹氷からなる冬の絶景が、スキーヤーや写真愛好家を出迎えてくれました。樹氷は、おもに標高千メートル以上に自生するアオモリトドマツに、氷と雪が強い風で打ち付けられてつくられます。そそりたつ白銀の姿は、白いモンスターなど、荒々しいものに例えられますが、ここ数日の穏やかな天気で角がとれ、丸みがかったものが多くなっていました。樹氷が見られるのは今後の天候にもよりますが、３月初旬から中旬ごろまでということです。
