青森ねぶた祭実行委員会は外国人観光客に対応するため、祭の見所などを紹介する英語の冊子を作成し、ことしの祭で配布する。これは7日の実行委員会で承認された。
それによると年々増加している外国人観光客に対応するため、ねぶた祭の見所やまち歩きのコースなどを紹介する英語の冊子を作成する。7月中に完成させて祭期間中にＪＲ青森駅や運行コースで配る。
また実行委員会ではねぶた名人、千葉作龍さんの弟子、林広海さんが大型ねぶたの制作者としてデビューすることが報告された。
