台上げ作業
「青森ねぶた祭」（8月2～7日）の開幕を控え、青森市の青い海公園に建てられた制作小屋で15日、台車に大型ねぶたを載せる「台上げ」作業が始まった。初日は、ねぶた師の立田龍宝さん（32）が手掛けた「布引（ぬのびき）の滝（たき） 悪源太義平（あくげんたよしひら）」の台上げが行われた。
関係者約40人が、六つに分かれたパーツを高さ約2メートルの台車に慎重に載せていった。「あと5センチ寄せて」などと声を掛け合って、約50分で作業を完了させた。「布引の滝－」は平家側の悪党の難波恒房（なんばつねふさ）一行に腹を立てた源義平が、雷神となってよみがえり、恒房を焼き殺すシーンを描いた作品。立田さんは「顔を赤く染め上げて、義平の怒りの表情に迫力を出した」と話した。運行されるねぶた22台の台上げは26日まで行われ、ねぶた師として今年デビューを飾る林広海さん（49）の作品が最後となる。一般客も見学できる。連絡先は、ねぶたガイド本部017（775）3151。
