２７００個余りの小さな雪の灯籠が夜を彩る「あおもり雪灯りまつり」が２３日から青森市で始まり訪れる人たちの目を楽しませています。この催しは青森市が毎年開いていて青森駅前の広場には、２７００個余りの小さな雪の灯籠のほのかな明かりが、温かい雰囲気を醸し出しています。また、広場には青森市内の２１の企業や団体などがそれぞれ作った雪像も展示されていて、中には高さが２メートルを超える人気アニメ映画のキャラクターの雪像やかまくらもあります。会場には、家族連れや写真の愛好家たちが訪れ、気に入った作品と一緒に記念撮影をしたり、青森港の夜景を背景に雪像を写真に納めていました。
会場を訪れていた青森市の７歳の女の子は「妹と３人でかまくらの中に入って遊んで楽しかったです」と話していました。また、青森市の７５歳の男性は「雪と明かりのいい写真がとれました」などと話していました。「あおもり雪灯りまつり」は、青森駅近くの「ねぶたの家ワ・ラッセ」前の広場で２４日と２５日も午後５時から午後９時まで開かれます。
