真冬に逆戻りになった県内だが、桜前線は一歩一歩近づいている。民間の気象予報会社によると日本一のさくら祭り弘前公園のソメイヨシノの開花は4月22日と見られている。桜の開花予想は民間の気象予報会社「ウェザーニューズ」が過去の桜の開花や今後の気象状況をもとに発表した。それによると弘前公園のソメイヨシノの開花は前回、今月4日の発表と同じ4月22日と予想されている。これは過去5年間の平均の開花日に比べて3日早くなっている。また青森市の合浦（がっぽ）公園も22日、五所川原市金木町の芦野公園と八戸市の三八城公園が24日、むつ市の早掛沼公園が29日と予想されている。弘前公園の満開は27日頃で、大型連休前半に見頃を迎えそう。ウェザーニューズの次の開花予想は今月18日に発表される。
