８月２日に始まる「青森ねぶた祭」を広くＰＲしようと、大型ねぶたの写真を印刷した切手シートの販売が始まりました。この切手シートは、日本郵政が「青森ねぶた祭」を前に、毎年、この時期に販売しています。ことしの切手シートは、はがきもセットになっているのが特徴で、去年の青森ねぶた祭で「優秀制作者賞」を受賞した千葉作龍さんの「戦国武士華『前田慶次』」などが題材に選ばれました。１日には、日本郵便青森県中部連絡会の米田敦統括局長が青森市役所を訪れ、鹿内市長に切手シートを贈呈しました。青森市の鹿内市長は、「ねぶたの季節が来たとわくわくしています。青森ねぶた祭が全国にＰＲされればうれしいです」と話していました。この切手シートは、青森市など県内１０市町村にある７７の郵便局で、あわせて５０００シート販売されます。５日からは、インターネットでも購入の申し込みができるようになるということです。
